Final of the World Cup started. 2 tournament is held – the World Cup Final and the youth tournament with the status of the All-Russian youth tournament. 58 players took part in the World Cup and 57 players took part in the youth tournament. The best players of the world such as current world champion Sergey Belosheyev, international grandmasters Vladimir Scrabov, Evgeniy Kondrachenko, Murod Amrillaev and Dmitry Tsinman take part in competitions.
The opening took place at 12.00. The first round and blitz was held today. Sergey Belosheyev won blitz. Murod Amrillaev took 2nd place and Evgeniy Kondrachenko took 3rd place.

Competitions will start in one week. Participants will be able to take part in the open rapid championship of St. Petersburg, which will be held on 6 December from 14.00.
Vasily Sokov, champion of the USSR 1938-41′s, was born December 26, 1912 in Yaroslavl region, died March 3, 1944 in the Battle of Narva. Most of his life he lived in Leningrad. Vasily Sokov was a very strong player, magician of draughts, the founder of the progressive Soviet school of draughts art, consummate theorist and innovator, humble and helpful people – so he will remain forever in the hearts of lovers of our folk game. International draughts tournament memory Vasily Sokov are held in St. Petersburg for many years as a tribute to the memory of a champion.

Rules
1. Place, date
Competitions are held from December 06 (day of arrival) to December 13, 2015 in St. Petersburg (Russia) in State budget educational institution of additional education “SDYUSSHOR in Chess and Draughts” at: St. Petersburg, Bolshaya Konyushennaya str., 25 (metro station “Gostinny Dvor”, facing Canal of Griboyedov).
Credentials Committee will work December 06, from 16.00 till 20.00.
All participants must have medical insurance for the period of competition.
2. Program of competitions
Following competitions are held:
1. Final of World Cup;
2. Youth tournament among boys and girls with offset by age group.
Team standings determined in youth tournament. Team composition: three boys and a girl.
3. The competitors
All participants are allowed to participate in World Cup regardless of gender, age and rating who timely filed an application, registered on time and pay the entry fee. The number of participants representing the country is not limited.
In youth tournament boys and girls born no later than 1999 are allowed to participate, who timely filed an application, registered on time and pay the entry fee.
Participants must comply with the dress code.
Participants must to be on the closing ceremony of the competition, in breach of the item participants lose all official awards. Awards will not be sent or transferred.
4. Tournament regulations
Competitions are held on the rules of the International Draughts Federation IDF.
System of competition is Swiss.
All programs are held in Russian version by the system of micro-matches consist of two games.
Final of of World Cup is held with draw according to the official table of the Section-64.
Youth competition is held in classic Russian draughts without draw of the moves.
Time control:
Final of World Cup:
Blitz: 3 minutes till the end of the game plus 2 seconds on each move;
Classic program: 45 minutes till the end of the game plus 10 seconds on each move, break between games is 5 minutes.
Youth tournament: 45 minutes for each participant before the end of the game, break between games is 5 minutes.
5. Determination of winners
Places of participants are determined by the biggest amount of points.
In the team classification – by the biggest amount of points scored by all team members.
In case if result of two or more participants is equal, the additional criteria established by the panel of referees in accordance with the rules of the International Draughts Federation IDF.
Players taking part in the Final of World Cup, get points in the overall standing of the World Cup in accordance with the Regulations of the World Cup 2015.
6.Awarding
Final of World Cup and youth tournaments
Participants who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each tournament awarded with cup, medal and diploma.
Participants who took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in age groups in youth tournament awarded with medals and diplomas.
The team which won 1st place awarded by cup and diploma and it participants awarded with diplomas. Teams which took 2nd and 3rd places and it participants awarded with diplomas.
The prize fund in the Final of World Cup to be announced, but will be not less than 1000 Euros.
Overall standing of the World Cup
In accordance with the Regulations of the World Cup 2015 participant who took 1st place in the overall standing of the World Cup awarded with cup, medal and diploma.
Participants who took 2nd and 3rd places awarded with medals and diplomas.
The prize fund in the overall standing of the World Cup according to the Regulations of the World Cup 2015 is 3500 euros:
1st place – 1000 EUR
2nd place – 600 EUR
3rd place – 450 EUR
4th place – 300 EUR
5th place – 250 EUR
6th place – 200 EUR
7th place – 150 EUR
8th place – 100 EUR
Best young born in 1996 and under – 200 EUR
Best female – 150 EUR
Best Veteran 60 + – 100 EUR (who participated in at least 2 stages in the classical program).
Winner of the World Cup 2015 is allowed to participate in the European Championship 2016. Organizers provided his by accommodation and meals. Participants who took 2nd and 3rd places in the World Cup 2015 will participate in the European Championship 2016 without tournament fee.
7. Finances
All costs of participants paid by the sending organizations or yourself.
The organizing committee pays all costs for the organization and conducting of the competition.
Entry fee:
Final of World Cup – 2 000 rub, for participants from St. Petersburg – 1500 rub;
Blitz – 500 rub.
Youth competitions – 1000 rub.
