1. Championships

The organizers of the championships need meet the following conditions:

1.1. To have the permission of the national Draughts Federation at the championship.

1.2. To get all necessary approvals in accordance with the laws of the country of the tournament.

1.3. The organization of the championship:

– to offer a game room with lighting and temperature relevant standards;
– to provide facilities for referees, coaches and spectators;
– to provide tools corresponding to the rank of competitions;
– to make attributes and tournament banners;
– to provide visa support for players and accompanying;
– to organize opening ceremony and closing ceremony with the national anthems of the countries-winners;
– to organize a cultural program for the participants;
– to bring the competition in mass media;
– to ensure the availability of the Internet for referees and participants of the championship;
– timely report the competition on the Internet and provide the broadcasting of the championship on the Internet.

1.4. Finances.

1.4.1. Admission costs for participants (members of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) – Section-64 FMJD (hereinafter – International Draughts Federation)):

1.4.1.1. World and European Championships for youth – juniors 23 years and younger, juniors 19 years and younger, cadets 16 years and younger, mini-cadets 13 years and younger, hopes 10 years and younger, mini-hopes 8 years and younger:

Pay for accommodation and meals:

– Four players from each country: one player from the age group – juniors 19 years and younger, cadets 16 years
and younger, mini-cadets 13 years and younger, hopes 10 years and younger.

Pay for accommodation, meals and travel:
– Main referee and the Main secretary
– two representatives of the International Draughts Federation.

1.4.1.2. World and European Championships for men and women:

Pay for accommodation and meals:
– Champion of the previous championship of the corresponding version
– The winner of the World Cup (men)
– One player from each country
– Main referee and the Main secretary
– Two representatives of the International Draughts Federation.

Pay for travel:
– Main referee and the Main secretary, referees, two representatives of the International Draughts Federation, not less than 15 country representatives for the European Championship and 25 country representatives for the World Championship on the list of the International Draughts Federation.

1.4.1.3. World and European Championships among veterans:

Pay for accommodation and meals:
– One player from each country
– Main referee and the Main secretary
– a representative of the International Draughts Federation.

Pay for travel:
– Main referee, a representative of the International Draughts Federation.

1.4.1.4. Team Championships:

Pay for accommodation, meals and travel:
– Main referee and the Main secretary
– Two representatives of the International Draughts Federation.

Other conditions for receiving the participants may be specified by decision of the Board of the International Draughts Federation under separate rules.

1.4.2. Awards:

1.4.2.1.  Provide prize money:
– World Men Championship – not less than 20 000 Euros
– World Women Championship – not less than 10 000 Euro
– European Men Championship – not less than15 000 Euros
– European Women Championship – not less than 8 000 Euro
– World and European Veteran’s Championship – not less than 1 000 Euro

1.4.2.2. Provide the cups for the first three places in the classic, rapid, blitz programs for each age group:
– Men, women – 18 cups
– Veterans (men, women) – 6 cups
– Juniors 23 years and younger, juniors 19 years and younger, cadets 16 years and younger, mini-cadets 13 years and younger, hopes 10 years and younger, mini-hopes 8 years and younger – 108 cups
– Personal-team youth competitions: overall team standing in classic program – 3 cups
– Team competitions (men, women) – 12 cups;

1.4.2.3. Provide material prizes to the winners of youth championships in the age groups juniors 23 years and younger, juniors 19 years and younger, cadets 16 years and younger, mini-cadets 13 years and younger, hopes 10 years and younger, mini-hopes 8 years and younger – 12 prizes.

1.4.3. The fee for the right to host.
Pay to the International Draughts Federation fee for the right to host the championship:
– World Championships for men and women, the match for the world title – 5000 euros
– European Championship for men and women – 3000 euros

1.4.4. The costs of the competition

1.4.4.1. Pay the cost of aattributes, banners, information and advertising materials; visa support, rent, organization of opening and closing, the cultural program, the work of staff, transport costs; computer software.

1.4.4.2. Pay the costs for the work of referees at the rate of not less than:
20 – 30 Euro per day the Main Referee and the Main Secretary + one additional day for registration of documents;
12 – 15 Euro per day the rest of the referees (at least 9 referees in the Youth Championships).

1.5. Distribution of tournament fees

1.2.1. The organizers of the championship receive 1/3 of the sum of the tournament fees for organizational expenses.

1.2.2. Organizers receive 1/2 of the amount of the tournament fee for organizational expenses when players from 20 countries and more participate in the championship.

1.2.3. If the International Draughts Federation completely independently organizes championship in the new countries – the distribution of contributions is by the decision of the Board of International Draughts Federation.

2 . World Cup

The organizers of the Stage of World Cup need meet the following conditions:

2.1. Prize money of the Stage of World Cup shall be not less than 1 000 euros.

2.2. The organizers must transfer to the International Draughts Federation fee for the right to host Stage of World Cup in the amount of 200 euros.

2.3. The organizers must to accept at least 6 participants (provide accommodation and meals) and pay travel costs for 2 people by the list of the International Draughts Federation.

2.4. In case of failure to comply with paragraph 2.1.-2.3 the Board of the International Draughts Federation will consider the advisability of granting the status of the World Cup to the tournament the next year.

2.5. If the International Draughts Federation completely independently organize Stage of World Cup in the new countries – the conditions for carrying out by the decision of the Board of International Draughts Federation.

3. International Draughts Federation

3.1. Communicate with the national federations.
3.2. Enter into contracts with organizations conducting of the competitions.
3.3. Approve regulations for the competition.
3.4. Appoints for each event the Main referee and the Main secretary, the panel of referees, Appeal jury.
3.5. Provides official awards – medals and diplomas.
3.6. Provides prize money in the overall standings of the World Cup.

4. Applications to host the competitions

4.1. Applications to host the official competitions should be sent in the form  to the office of the International Draughts Federation by e-mail: [email protected] annually before 1 August for the next calendar year.

Proposals should reflect the information in sections 1 or 2.

4.2. A copy of the application form should be sent to the President of the International Draughts Federation Langin Vladimir by e-mail: [email protected] and to the tournament director Nikiforov Alexander by e-mail: [email protected]

4.3. Applications will be reviewed by the Board of the International Draughts Federation on a competitive basis.

Carrying out competitions not covered by conditions of the official competition of the International Draughts Federation (IDF) – Section-64 FMJD in 2015-2018 made by decision of the Board of the International Draughts Federation under separate contracts.
